David Orville Dwight Johnson was born February 17, 1951 to Cecil and Mary Ellen Johnson in Little Rock Arkansas. He died at home in Leesburg, Florida, Januarv 18, 2026. He was 7 4 years old.
He was preceded in death by both parents, an infant son, a grandson, Justin Wells, and a great grandson, Jaxon Warren.
David was survived by his wife, Norma of 48 years. 3 children, Connie Racette of Leesburg, Florida, Melissa Warren (& Harold) of Sheridan, Arkansas, and David Dwight Johnson (& Stacey), of Groveland, Florida.
5 grandchildren, Keith Michael Warren (& Alicia), Jacob Warren, Brianna Racette, Morgan Warren, and Carrie Johnson.
5 siblings, Richard Johnson, of Little Rock, Arkansas, James Johnson, of Hensley, Arkansas, Linda Jones, of Berryville, Arkansas, Cecilia Bennett, and Angie Squires, of Lonsdale, Arkansas.
He also had an abundance of nieces and nephews.
David was retired from Agere Systems, formally AT&T Manufacturing. Where he worked for over 30 years. He belonged to and was an officer of The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, IBEW local 2022 and later local 2020. Through out his life David enjoyed hunting and fishing with his father, brothers, and friends, going to the gun range and playing pool with his son, David Dwight. In his retirement community, he enjoyed his weekly poker games with residents and he tolerated going to bingo with his wife on Thursday nights. Of course he looked forward to every opportunity to spend time with family and friends, playing card games, and dominos.
