David Ian Johnson

David Johnson, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, went to be with Jesus late evening on February 23, 2026, at the age of 78. He was predeceased by his parents, Allen and Phyllis Johnson, and is survived by his wife, Anna Michalko-Johnson, a daughter, Nicole Johnson, a son and his spouse, Greg Johnson and Liz, and his grandchildren: John, Abigail, and Sophia. David also leaves behind three brothers and their spouses: Peter Johnson and Elizabeth, Robert Johnson and Ineke, and Richard Johnson.

David was born in Sydney, Australia, on September 12, 1947. His family moved to Colchester, UK, when David was young. He then moved to the States in the early 1970's and lived in Detroit until he moved to Houston, where he and his brother, Peter, worked together, organizing business to business trade shows internationally.

He was with his wife, Anna, for almost 47 blessed years, having met on St. Patrick's Day in 1979. They would have celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on March 14.

David traveled worldwide both for business and pleasure. He enjoyed any kind of fishing and duck hunting. He loved playing with the grandkids. To them, he was "Baba."

He was a gentle-hearted man who will be deeply missed by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
