David Johnson

David Johnson, 71, of Old Hickory, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026. Born on December 31, 1954, in Nashville, Tennessee, David lived a life filled with love, passion, and dedication to his family and interests.

David was the beloved husband of Mary Johnson and a devoted father to his five children: Jimmy (Jennifer) Johnson, Judy Johnson, Kathy (Cody) Crowe, Terry (Steven) Denson, and Timothy Johnson. He was also cherished by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life. David's love for his family was boundless; he held them close to his heart and took pride in their accomplishments.

He was predeceased by his parents, Irona and Sherwood Johnson; his siblings Peggy Jones and Billy Johnson; and his grandson Jacob Johnson. Their memories remained a source of strength and inspiration throughout David's life.

David had a deep appreciation for classic cars and trucks, tractors, history, and the ingenuity behind how things are made. His fascination with the 1950s and 1960s decades reflected his admiration for the culture and craftsmanship of that era. Whether collecting vintage items or sharing stories about historical events, David's enthusiasm was infectious to those around him.

Known as a great man with a generous spirit, David would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation. His kindness extended far beyond words-he embodied compassion through his actions. Those who knew him were touched by his warmth and selflessness.

David's legacy is one of love, generosity, and an enduring passion for the things that brought him joy. May his memory bring comfort to all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 11:00 am until Service time at 2:00 pm at Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home, Nashville Chapel.
