SELKIRK - David V. Judware, 57, of Selkirk, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on August 5, 1968, a life long resident of Coeymans, N.Y., he is the son of the late Ronald Judware and LeBerta (Randio) Judware.
David was a 1987 graduate of RCS. He was well known for his unique karate skills and expert painting abilities. In 1995, he opened his own karate studio, where he trained hundreds of people. David achieved his 3rd degree black belt in Seido karate and took great pride in teaching others, especially kids, his craft. David also owned and operated Judware Painting and Remodeling. He was extremely talented, painting and remolding homes for many years, quickly developing a great reputation.
His son Cameron was born in 2015, and became his whole world. Together they enjoyed fishing, vacations to Disney, boating, watching movies, playing games, and most Importantly, eating sushi. David's family and friends were his life.
David is survived by his loving son, Cameron; his fiancé, Connie Yetto (Cirstie and John); siblings, Debbie Schanbacher, Robert Judware (Joni), Donna Furst (Jim Prior), and James Judware; nieces and nephews, Frank (Nilka) Benn, Jami (Nathan) Ferguson, Frank (Kelsey, Chase and Emma) McDonagh, Brittany Bliven (Corey, Elora and Lyla), Jenny (Donnie and Mandy) Judware, Michelle (Braelynn and Ali) Judware, and many cousins.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Anthony and Henry Judware; brother-in-law, Dennis Schanbacher; and his nephew, Robert Judware Jr.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Babcock Funeral Home, 19 Pulver Ave., Ravena, N.Y. 12143, with a 1 p.m. service to follow at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the family plot of St. Patrick's Cemetery, Coeymans, N.Y.
