David Gene Juergens, age 65, of Vienna, was born October 21, 1959, in Tuscumbia, a son of Carlos David and Shirley Sandra (Stratman) Juergens, and passed from this life on Wednesday, April 30, 2025. He was united in marriage on June 10, 1978, in the First Baptist Church, Vienna, to the former Ms. Rita Jean Weider, and to this union three daughters were born. During his working life, David was employed with Quaker Windows, Freeburg, as a supervisor for twenty plus years. At the time of his passing, David was self-employed and known as a jack of all trades but when he was asked if there was something he couldn't do he would respond 'work on cars!'. David was an outdoorsman who loved to garden, plant flowers with his wife, Rita, often buying just as many flowers as she did. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, he enjoyed decorating for all holidays, socializing with everyone as he never met a stranger, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and his great-granddaughter. Those left to mourn the passing of David include: his loving wife of forty-six years, Rita of the home in Vienna; his three daughters, Angie Otto and husband, Travis, of Brinktown, Amanda Clutter and husband, Justin, of Tipton, and Tiffany Schulte and husband, John, of Meta; seven grandchildren, Dalton Otto (Megan), Molly Otto, Brooke Hollis, Jalin Clutter, John Henry Schulte, George Schulte, and Ruth Schulte; one great-granddaughter, Peyton Otto; one brother, Arnold Juergens and wife, Helen, of Dixon; and many other relatives and friends. David was preceded in death by his father Carlos Juergens on May 23, 2008; his mother Shirley Wagner on June 15, 2021; and two brothers, Ronald G. Juergens on April 19, 1964, and Terry D. Juergens on February 25, 2012. Visitation for Mr. David Juergens will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Sunday, May 4, 2025, and from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 5, 2025, with his funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. all in the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, 406 South Main, Vienna, Missouri 65582 with Pastor Chris Slocum, First Baptist Church, Vienna, officiating. Interment will be held in the Vienna Public Cemetery, Vienna, under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna. Pallbearers for David will be Travis Otto, Justin Clutter, John Schulte, Dalton Otto, William Snodgrass, and Aaron Weider. Honorary Pallbearers will be Molly Otto, Brooke Hollis, Jalin Clutter, John Henry Schulte, George Schulte, and Ruth Schulte.
