Dave was my big brother. My biggest big brother. Mom said he carried me piggy back til my feet almost drug the floor. He carried me, and others in so many other ways. He never failed to be a blessing with his music and his talen as an artist be it woodwork or whatever. But I will miss his humor ,I think the most. I loved his stories. It didn't matter to me how many times I had heard them, and some were My stories, he made them funnier the way he told them. I am reminded over and over how fleeting this life is. And Dave had so much he still wanted to do. But I have to believe this; he's not playing anymore, but he's not playing any less.

Dear Sandy, Kim, Shannon and family, I echo the words of many about Dave, so talented, friendly, and joyful. I decided to listen to his cd from a number of years ago to remember the good times, I'm sorry it's been so long since we've been together. The cd brought back many loving memories of singing around the piano with Dave playing for our Friendship Class and one special memory of Milton, who finally heard his favorite hymn played, "Jesus Savior Pilot Me." Dave and Sandy went to great lengths to learn and play it for him. Finally, a few more tears as I heard "He Doesn't Love Me Anymore," perhaps Dave's one and only song written and recorded (he sure nailed it). Thanks for the memories Dave of Jesus' love! And love and comfort to all his family in Jesus. Till we meet again!

It is remarkable how many lives were touched by the beautiful musical gifts and gentle personality of Dave Kellie. He was a favorite entertainer of my mother and many other residents at Westside Health Center, where he performed regularly. Dave's talents will be greatly missed and never forgotten. Sincere condolences to his family. Our hearts and prayers are with you.

David told me several times, "I'm just a piano player." But I feel nothing could be farther from the truth. For many he was a friend and comforter. He was a little bit of sunshine in an otherwise dismal week. His songs always told a story. His life also told a story, one of giving to others, even when he was hurting himself. He told me many times how he felt Sandy was the best thing that ever happened to him and how much he loved his girls. I know he could be a grouch sometimes but he always got over it and blessed the ones he was upset with. He was my friend and I will always appreciate how he blessed my life.

Dick and I will miss you. We grew up together from first grade through graduation. Remember you playing the piano when we were in grade school; all the popular songs of that time and you never needed to look at music. That was amazing. You were so talented and upbeat. Even last summer when we had that long phone conversation. We wish the best to your family.

Ron and I met Dave and Sandy thirteen short years ago when they became our neighbors. It wasn't long before I realized what a privilege it was to have them as neighbors and soon to be good friends. Dave was one of those rare people that you knew you would like after meeting him for the first time. He has been a blessing to many as he shared his love for the Lord and his talent as a piano player not just a piano player but a talented musician. My family was blessed to have him play at several of our family celebrations. He is loved and will be missed by many. With a heavy heart I send you my sympathies and my prayers.

My condolences to your family. David was a special man and a talented musician. I feel blessed to have known him. My fondest memory of David was when he babysat me. I always felt like he was my older brother and I was an honorary Kellie. The whole Kellie family are a very special group of people. Heaven gained a special man. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

A Great friend. Gave of himself unselfishly. Will cherish our visit in October 2016 forever. Can honestly say Dave used his musical talents to the Glory of God first and his friends second. Will never forget how Dave wowed the congregation at the McCoysville Presbyterian Church in McCoysville, Pa. Members asked when he was coming back for years. Thankful Sandy for your aunt gave Maxine who introduced us and giving us the pleasure of knowing you both.

Sandy and family, I have such fond memories of Sunday mornings in the 80's at Seerley Creek with me on the organ and Dave on the piano. I LOVED playing with him. His musical gifts amazed and blessed me. Mark and I are so sorry for your loss and are praying for all of you in the coming days and weeks.
