David Kennedy Obituary

David Kennedy passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026. After a courageous battle with an aggressive form of cancer, his body is now at rest while his spirit continues to live on with all of us. David was a devoted member of the community, church, choir, QAS Men's Club, St. Vincent DePaul Society, and so much more. He will be remembered as a lifelong mentor and coach; an avid golfer and outdoorsman; and a loving father, husband, brother, and son. David impacted countless lives with his kindness and curiosity.

David is survived by his wife Julia; children: Alison, Spencer, Erin, and Tara; mother Eloise; siblings: Michele, Phil, Ed, and Melanie; and many nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his father Don.

Visitation Friday, March 20th from 3-8 PM at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home 6150 N. Cicero Ave. Chicago, IL 60646. Friends and family will meet for a funeral Mass on Saturday, March 21st at 10 AM at Queen of All Saints Basilica 6280 N. Sauganash Ave. Chicago, IL 60646. Interment private.
