David O. Kent, of Brewerton NY, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday October 30th 2025 while on vacation with his wife in New Orleans, LA.
David was born on January 21st, 1978, son of John & Peggy Kent.
He spent his childhood in Caledonia NY, where he was an active member of the Boy Scouts of America, earning the highest rank of Eagle Scout.
He graduated with a degree in Forest Technology from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry. He was currently working for Ramboll in Syracuse NY.
Dave was a loving husband and father. He was a kind man who would help anyone who needed it. He had a love for the outdoors. Along with the activities enjoyed by him and his wife while living on Oneida Lake. He loved camping, hiking, hunting and fishing. Dave also enjoyed running; he was a member of SOH4, and participated in the Syrathon Race Series every year.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela, son Ryan, stepchildren, Danielle and Joshua. His father John, brother Jeff and many other family members.
He was predeceased by his mother, Peggy Kent.
Memorial service information will be released at a later date. Graveside service will be held in Mumford, NY in the following days.
