David (Dave) Kirtley, 74, of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed away on Nov. 21, 2022, in Oklahoma City. He was born on May 21, 1948 in Enid, Oklahoma to David and Marilyn Kirtley. He attended James S. Rickards High School in Tallahassee, Florida then Florida State University.
David was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked for the U.S. Postal Service for more than 40 years. He received numerous awards and recognitions throughout his career.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Marilyn J. Kirtley and David W. Kirtley; brother, James Kirtley; and sister, Mary Denise Latham.
He is survived by his wife, Charlene Kirtley of Edmond; daughter, Joyce Cook and son-in-law Jeff Cook of Oklahoma City; son, Stephen Kirtley of Edmond; sister, Nancy Kirtley Doyle of Moore; aunt, Pam Gosnell of Edmond; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Viewing at Mercer-Adams will be Saturday, November 26, 9am-8pm with family present from 2-4pm. No services are scheduled at this time.

Prayers and hugs for Charlene, Joyce and Stephen. I know how much you all loved him. He always had a laugh, smile and a joke every time I saw him, even in difficult situations. Love to all of you.
