David Knox was a loyal, decent man with a caring soul. A dedicated man who never forgot his friends, He never forgot the details. My husband, Charles Farrell, Jr. was his childhood friend and deeply cherished the contact that spanned over 75 years. He is missed.

Dr. David Knox was an invariably kind, ethical, expert, and devoted physician. His colleagues and students admired him, and his patients loved him.
He was also a long-lasting and trusted friend, who was deeply loyal to the Wilmer Eye Institute and to Johns Hopkins Medicine for well over half a century.
All of Wilmer and all of Hopkins deeply mourn his passing. We treasure our memories of this wonderful person.
