EAST GREENBUSH - David R. Kress, 65, of East Greenbush, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at NYU Langone Hospital, In N.Y.C.
David was born July 20, 1960, in Schenectady, N.Y. He was the son of JoAnn (DiGesualdo) and the late David G. Kress.
Dave was a Teamster, shop steward and supervisor for Larned for 41 years, before being stricken with illness. Dave also worked on many movie productions as a chauffeur to various actors for film sets in the capital region and N.Y.C.
Dave loved to play golf, go on daily walks, watch sports, and spend time with family, friends, and his beloved pet, Cali. He enjoyed supporting his son and grandchildren in their various sporting activities, and was a huge supporter of the Columbia and Journeymen wrestling programs.
Survivors include his wife, Carla Orciuoli; his mother, JoAnne (DiGesualdo) Kress; his son, Angelo C. Kress; stepchildren, Thomas J.(Erin Hopkins) Acker Jr., Jason (Shaina Clark) Acker, and Tonya (Jeffrey) Wright; and his siblings, Susan (Mike) Podhurst, Christine (Jim) Gage, Joseph Kress, and Michael (Rodney Agostine) Kress. David was also the proud grandpa to Kaleb Horn, Riley, Maddox, Dyson and Tucker Wright, and Devon Bascones; along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, David G. Kress.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation hours from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday evening, December 17, 2025, in the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Tpk., Rensselaer. Family and friends are also invited to his Funeral Mass at 10 a.m., on Thursday, December 18, in the Church of St. Mary at Clinton Heights, 163 Columbia Tpk., Rensselaer.
