David M. Kyler

David M. Kyler, 64, of Lemoyne, passed away on October 7, 2025, surrounded by his family at home. He was born in Harrisburg, PA on February 7, 1961, to Donald Heileg and Elizabeth "Betty" Kyler.

Dave was a proud Marine veteran who faced life with the strength and resilience that only military service can instill. "Oorah! Semper Fi!" He dedicated much of his professional life to roofing and was known for his strong work ethic and unwavering dedication to his craft. Yet, it was in the company of family and friends that Dave truly thrived. He cherished his time spent grilling and enjoying an ice-cold beer, and his dinner gatherings will be fondly remembered and missed by all who attended.

An avid camper and bluegrass music enthusiast, David enjoyed spending weekends at festivals, surrounded by friends, food, beer, and music. He found peace in gardening, but his passion for life was visible in his love for watching military documentaries and westerns, as well as his unwavering support of the Philadelphia Eagles. As a devoted family man, David was affectionately known as "Pappy" or "Paps" to his grandchildren: James, David, and DJ. He loved making pancakes for them, filling their mornings with joy and laughter. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Kathy (Kautz) Kyler; his mother, Betty; daughters, Elycia (John) Heck and Ashley Kyler; son, John Toth; his siblings, Destiny, Hunter, Christine, and Donnie; stepmother, Sue; as well as many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Heileg and his daughter, Melissa McGowan.A visitation will take place on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 1 - 2 PM at Parthemore Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow immediately after. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made here to help offset the cost of his funeral and the days that lie ahead.
