David Carlton LaDuke, 63, of Peru, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the UVM Health Network, CVPH – Plattsburgh, with his loving family by his

side.

He was born in Plattsburgh on September 4, 1962, the son of Edward "Blackie" and Gail (Zielinski) LaDuke.

David worked as a Stage Manager for Live Nation, where he built a career surrounded by the music he loved so deeply. He had a passion for live performances and the energy of the stage, and his love for music was known by all who knew him. Above all, David was a devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather whose greatest joy was the time he spent with his family. His steady presence, generous heart, and love of laughter will be remembered and cherished always.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of nearly 19 years, Cherie (Banker) LaDuke; his children, Jessica LaDuke, Gail (Mel) LaDuke, Evan (Deanna) LaDuke, Jacob LaDuke, and Harley (Samantha) LaDuke; his beloved grandchildren, Lacey (Colby), Kevin, Jace, Maya, Wolfe, Paxton, Beau, Bentley, and JR; and his brothers, Michael (Reba) LaDuke and Mark (Erin) LaDuke, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Edward "Blackie" LaDuke and Gail (Zielinski) LaDuke.

My heart aches for you, Cherie, and for the entire LaDuke family as you navigate this unimaginable loss. The sudden, yet not so sudden departure of someone so profoundly cherished and deeply loving leaves a void that words can barely begin to describe. It is truly incomprehensible to lose a soul as vibrant and kind as David.

He was a testament to how beautifully one can live in the moment, embracing life with an infectious enthusiasm that uplifted everyone around him. His unwavering dedication to his family and the boundless affection he showered upon his friends were hallmarks of his remarkable character. David's legacy is etched in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him, a testament to his generous spirit and the genuine connections he forged.

We share in your sorrow and send our deepest love and support during this incredibly difficult time. May you find strength in the cherished memories and the enduring love he spread so freely.
