David Langdon was very instrumental in the Mid 60's Clio HS Basketball renaissance. Prior to the 1963-64 season, Clio Basketball had won only 52 league games in the previous 25 seasons (Flint Journal)! The 1963-64 team laid a strong foundation and the 1964-65 & 1965-66 teams were contenders for the league championship each season. With David as one of the key players, the 1965 team won Clio's first Regional Basketball Championship in school history! And yes, the 104-82 win vs. Beecher was a high light during the 1964-65 season. David's making 16-19 shots in that Beecher game must certainly be an all-time Flint area and perhaps an all-time Michigan record! David was a fine athlete and made the other players on the team better because of his leadership! David made coaching his teams a real joy!

So, so sad-our sympathy & love being sent & prayers for each of you Langdon families. It´s so hard to lose a brother, uncle, we know. May you feel the presence of our Heavenly Father & be covered by His Comforter, The Dear Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ with all your wonderful, blessed family & memories. We didn´t know Dave well, but heard about him from your wonderful Mom & Dad, what a blessed family. We were across the street neighbors on Jennings Rd., Arlene & I were great friends~~we went to all North Flint Christian Women´s Club together once a month at Country Squire Restaurant & our 3 sons (Kevin, Kirk & Rob) were great friends & schoolmates with Susan & we also knew Alan well. Friends w/Susan on FB, I hear about your family news & continue to reminisce. I dearly loved your Mom, she´s happy & praising Jesus in Heaven with your Dad & now her son. God be with you all in your season of grief. Dan & Joyce Cannon ~~ Kevin, Kirk, Rob & all their families (Rob & wife Linda own & still live there on Jennings Rd. In our renovated old house.)
