David Matthew Langley, 50, of Pennsville, NJ passed away on December 8, 2024. He was born in Mannington, NJ, he was the beloved son of Sherry Sassi Newsome (Skeet) of Pennsville, NJ and Rob Sauer (Sue) of Carney's Point, NJ. He attended both the St. James Grammar and High Schools. Through the years, David worked for Mannington Mills as well as being employed by local warehouses and a delivery driver for several food delivery companies. Whether it was watching, coaching or playing, David was a sports fanatic with baseball being his all time favorite. From the ages of 8 to 18, David's dad had the honor to coach him then when he was 19 he was able to join his father as a coach on the field. From coaching together to playing on the same team David and his dad played for the Salem A's, which was managed by his cousin Nick Rappa in the Salem County league. He "hung 'em up" to coach his son Royce through out his Little League career and followed Royce as he played in high school and adult leagues. He loved his dear friends, the Holidays, Cowtown, " kid-night ", good food, " 420 " and of all these things, he loved his family most.
David was predeceased by his grandparents Grace and Mort Langley, Loretta and Herm Sauer and Robert and Pearl Sassi along with his stepbrother David Piel. He is survived by his son Royce Gaudet; his mother Sherry Sassi Newsome (Skeet); his dad Rob Sauer (Sue); his sister Kristen Sauer Murphy (Michael) along with her children Dominic and Emma Rodriguez; his stepbrother 's children Gage and Dallas Piel; his stepsister Melissa Piel; his ex-wife and dear friend Roni Gaudet Powers (John); his grandmother Mabel "Noonie" Newsome and a long list of loving aunts, uncles, and cousins from the Langley, Sassi, Sauer and Rappa families.
All arrangements are with Adams Funeral Home, 64 Broad Street, Woodstown, NJ 08098. Visitation will be Saturday, December 14 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM with a short service to follow. If you plan to visit, please wear your favorite sports jersey to honor David's memory.
