Colonie- David Langlois, 76, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2025. Born in Troy, NY, he was the son of the late George and Ann Langlois.
David was raised in Watervliet and graduated from high school before enlisting in the United States Navy in 1966. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1973. Following his military service, he began a long career with Niagara Mohawk. After retiring from the utility company, David continued to stay active and worked for the railroad.
A devoted train hobbyist, David also had a passion for photography and cherished spending time with his family. He was a proud social member of the Village of Colonie Fire Company and valued the friendships he built within the community.
David is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Rose, and their children: Billy (Colleen), Melissa Kelly, David Jr. (Katie), and Robert (Ruth). He was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren and is also survived by many loving family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in David’s honor to the American Heart Association.
