David Larsen Obituary

Visit the Russon Brothers Mortuary - Bountiful website to view the full obituary.
The amazing giant of a soul, and adored son and brother, David James Larsen passed away on June 15, 2022. David's flame burned brightly and left us way too soon. We will treasure the time we had with him. His parents (James and Elizabeth) and brothers (Sam, Joshua, and Thomas) will have a gaping hole in our hearts until we are all reunited.

David loved to ride his motorcycle, cook a nice filet in his cast iron skillet to a perfect medium rare, ski the trees, hit long drives on the golf course, and go the gym with his brothers. He would often scold his parents for their eating habits – preferring high protein fare like Spam and eggs, and copious amounts of whole milk. His only vice was stale strawberry Moon Pies that he'd leave on the counter overnight to air and age properly.

David was a member of the Woodbriar Ward Priest quorum in the North Salt Lake Stake. He was going into his Junior year at Woods Cross HS and was a member of the football team. He was a loyal friend and his Dad's "fix it man" protege. David's older brothers would often ask him to make sure they had hitched up the boat right, or which tool to use for this or that job.

We are grateful for our testimonies of Heavenly Father's Plan of Happiness and are committed to live with renewed purpose to be a forever family. We love you Bones!

A service in David's honor will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at the LDS Stake Center, 900 Eaglepointe Dr. North Salt Lake, UT 84054 where a viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m. prior to services. David will then be interred at the Lakeview Memorial Cemetery in Bountiful, UT.

I remember seeing David at South Davis Jr. High. He was a great friend to be. I know he's still alive. What great it is that I will see David again someday. Goodbye is not forever. Goodbye is not the end. It simply means I will miss David until we meet again, and we will! Rest in peace, David
