David Albert Lehrmann passed away at home on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at the age of 78 in Riesel, Texas. His final days were spent surrounded by his family, pastor and loved ones. He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Delva Lehrman; son, Eric Lehrmann; and sister, Lorraine Dosher.
He is survived by his sisters; Lois Brauer, Corrine Schleider and Mildred Lehrmann; sons, Jeff Lehrmann and Justin Lehrmann; daughters-in-law, Lorie Lehrmann and Alyce Lehrmann; and grandsons, Jaxson Lehrmann, Spencer Lehrmann and Gunnar Hill.
David was born at home in Riesel, Texas on December 6, 1945. After graduating from Riesel High School in 1965, he enlisted in the Air Force where he served honorably in Korea and Vietnam. He was then employed by Commercial Metals in Dallas, Texas for over 30 years. He retired to his home in Riesel where he loved to spend time fishing, farming and helping his sons and church community. He was well known to have a good fish story and go into town to share a cup of coffee with his friends.
David will be sorely missed by his family, but they know that he is with his heavenly father and the people he loved.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, July 28th from 2:00-4:00 pm at Pecan Grove Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 29th at Peace Lutheran Church in Hewitt at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Garrett Smith officiating. Graveside services will immediately follow at Riesel Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Peace Lutheran Church in Hewitt, Texas.
