I remember Dave as we played together as little kids. We grew up around the corner from each other. We will miss him always.

I remember the great times we had playing LAX at Adelphi with Dave. He was a great player and a tremendous asset to the 1979 Championship team.

As the years passed and our lives evolved, we may have seen each other less, but in the back of my mind, you were always still "there." It pains me to think that you are gone. I can honestly say that I think of you everyday. I miss you bro and I will always love ya.

As I cross-stitched your name on the memorial that I am doing for all of the victims, I prayed for you and your family. Please know that your death was not in vain. We will always remember. God Bless.

For the last year, I have been praying to God that David made it out of the towers. I haven't been able to accept his death until now. I share deeply in your loss. I loved David like a brother and I have missed him terribly. May God Bless and keep you guys. If you and the family are ever in Charlotte, please stay with us.

I did not have the pleasure of knowing David, but I have the honor of remembering him in prayer daily. I received my Mercy Band, bearing his name and I believe it's no accident, as my husband is also named David. I am thinking of you today, and everyday and asking God to bless your lives.

I never met Mr. Leistman, but I only heard wonderful things about him. I am a friend of Katie's at school, and one day during lunch, Katie sang me the song Mr. Leistman used to sing to her when she was little. I tried to hold back tears long enough to get to the bathroom. Septemeber 11, was a hard time for everyone and to the Leistman family I send you all of God's blessings. May you rest in peace Mr. Leistman.
