David Lester Obituary
David William Elexander Lester of Plantersville, Alabama, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023 at his home at the age of 46.
He was born in Canton, OH on January 6, 1977 to David Lester and Barbara Bennett.
David was the former grounds keeper at the Rest Area in Maplesville. David served his country for more than a decade as a member of the Alabama National Guard.
He is survived by his mother, Barbara (Raymond) Martin; father, David Lester; sister, Sarah Fancher; niece, Lindsey Sims; and uncles; Thomas Bennett and Allen (Mary) Martin.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Jason Lester; grandparents, Robert and Ursuala Bennett; and uncle, Robert Bennett.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 30, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. from the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Stanton with Rev. Danny Rasberry officiating.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.
Burial will follow in Alpine Baptist Church Cemetery in Plantersville.
Pallbearers will be Allen Martin, Tyler Batten, Lamar Dean, Ben Smith, Justin Dixon, and Jonathan Carr.
Final care has been entrusted to the Selma Funeral Home of Valley Grande, Alabama.
