COLUMBIA - A celebration of life for Dave Lorick will be held Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Ebenezer Lutheran Church by Pastor Frank Honeycutt and Pastor Paul Pingel with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday from 5 � 8 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. Dave, age 78, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at Providence Hospital. He was born November 30, 1928 in Columbia, S.C. to the late David C. Lorick, Sr. and Nadine DeLoache Lorick. He was the husband to Virginia Stokes Lorick. He was a graduate of Columbia High School, class of 1945. He attended the University of South Carolina and was an avid Gamecock Fan. He was past president and CEO of Lorick Office Products. He served on the Board of South Carolina Office Products Association and was a past president of Civitan. Dave was a life long member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church, where he served on church council, was an usher and a member of the Men�s Bible Class. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Virginia Stokes Lorick; one son, David Stokes Lorick and his wife, Robyn of Blythewood; one daughter, Karen Lorick Broach and her husband, Darren of Blythewood; grandchildren, Michael Lorick, Kaitlyn Lorick, Matthew Rowell and Jacob Rowell; step-grandchildren, Ashley Broach, Erin Broach and Amanda Bryant; step-great-grandchildren, Trinity and Payton Broach; one brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Tizzy Lorick of Columbia; and nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Michael Lorick, Matthew Rowell, Jacob Rowell, Erin Broach, Harry Dent, Bill Miller, Charles McManus and Durant Southern. Honorary pallbearers will be Merrell Harris, Danny Helms, Charles Jones and the Men�s Bible Class of Ebenezer Lutheran Church. The family would like to thank Dr. John Hicks and the staff of MCCU of Providence Hospital for the loving care they provided during his stay there. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ebenezer Lutheran Church, 1303 Richland Street, Columbia, S.C. 29201.
