David Charles Lyon, age 78, of Roosevelt, passed away February 28, 2025 at his home.
David was born February 3, 1947 in Oakland, California to Raynor Charles and Clarisa Lucille Fuller Lyon. He married Lily Nerine Agnew on April 2, 1976. They were sealed in the Oakland Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on May 8, 1978.
Family was the most important thing to him, he especially delighted in his grand and great grandchildren. He tried to attend every game and event that they were a part of. He was their biggest cheerleader. He was an avid 49'ers football fan. He loved doing family history and had a testimony of Jesus Christ. He spent numerous hours working in his yard, it was always very manicured and beautiful.
David is survived by his wife, Nerine Lyon; children, Scott Stroud, John (Christine) Brother, Alison (John) Freitas, Jeffrey (Ava) Lyon, Mischele (Mike) Smith, Scott (Julie) Reynolds; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Carol Moloney and Evelyn Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Ruth Rodriguez, and Barbara Johnson.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Roosevelt East Stake Center with a viewing held from 10:00 - 10:45 AM.
Burial will be in the Altonah Cemetery.
