David "Dave" Lyons – age 49 of Windsor, CO, passed away on December 30, 2023. He was born in Davenport, Iowa on April 25, 1974. David moved to Wisconsin with his family in 1988. He graduated from Port Washington High School in 1992. His time in Wisconsin naturally turned him into an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers (football and basketball), and the Milwaukee Bucks. He was loyal to them all. Aside from his love of the Packers, Badgers, and Bucks, most will remember David as extremely intelligent who was loving, giving to all, and especially loyal and passionate about his family. That passion extended to a special bond with his nephew, Colby Lyons, and special bonds with all his nieces and nephews.
David lit up at the sight or mention of his nieces and nephews, his siblings, and especially loved his mother, Cathy. His life revolved around his love of family and sports, and will be remembered as a good, spirited man.
David first moved to Colorado to live with his brother, Nick from 2004-2008, and again from 2019-present.
He was preceded in death by his Aunt Rhonda Rivelli, his Cousin Monika Spencer (Staerk), his Grandfather Ronald "Skip" Lyons, and his Aunt Judy Feyen.
David is survived by his parents; Harry and Cathy Winslow (LeClaire, IA & Midland, TX), siblings; Nick Lyons Feyen (Windsor, CO), Aimee Winslow-Low and husband Darren (Davenport, IA), and Steven "Harry" Winslow and his wife Ashlie (Conroe, TX), Grandmother Ruth Lyons (Davenport, IA), beloved nieces and nephews; Colby, Brianna, McCartney, Aiden, Colten, Madelyn, Hannah, Oliver, and great-nephew, Kai. He is also survived by multiple uncles, aunts, cousins, and many friends as well. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
David's family would like to extend thanks to all friends and family for their continued support during this difficult time. A special thank you to Pastor Carl Sutter for his constant love and support through this difficult time.
There will be a Viewing and Funeral Service starting at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 8, 2024, at Goes Funeral Care and Crematory, 3665 Canal Drive Unit E, Fort Collins, CO 80524. Memories and condolences may be shared online at www.goesfuneralcare.com by searching for David's name in our obituaries.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Yarrow Collective at https://www.yarrowcollective.org/?form=Donate as well as Mental Health Colorado at https://www.mentalhealthcolorado.org/donate/.
