David E. Malo, 76, of Smithfield, passed away on January 25, 2026 at the HopeHealth Hospice Center. He was the husband of Kathleen "Kate" (Dybala) Malo. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Clarence and Regina (Muir) Malo.
Dave worked as a sales representative for Goodyear Tires, and then for Bridgestone, before retiring. After retirement, he worked as a chauffeur for Arrow-Prestige Limousine.
Dave's greatest joy was raising his son, Dan, and golfing with him. He loved watching local sports teams, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his brother, Richard Malo, and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Daniel Malo and brother of the late Carol Dumouchel.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 30, 2026 from 9:30-10:00 am in St. Michael's Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield. His Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Social Justice Committee at St. Michael's Church.
