Class of 1982 Gadsden High, David was kind, funny and looked great in a baseball uniform. One big memory, Jim Nolen's jeep died one night on Owls Hollow Road, about 5 of us, it was spitting snow (can you believe it) and we had to walk about a mile or two (no phones back then) and David never let the girls get upset or down the whole way in the icy weather on a dirt road, he kept our spirits up, great friend. Much love and prayers to his family. Suzy

A remarkable man who was like a second father to me. His vibrant spirit and endless support shaped my life in countless ways. Thank you for the laughter, the lessons on the field, and the unwavering kindness. And raising my best friend. You will always be in our hearts.

A favorite memory of mine was when my daughter was 4. She saw that our Uncle Dave had taken off his prosthetic leg. She was so curious... and asked him "WAIT! You´re a robot?!?!" She then asked to see his other leg and after realizing it was his regular leg, she said... "you´re a human AND a robot!!!"
He got a kick out of it and always made light out of every moment. He brought so much fun and joy to every occasion. Our family won´t be the same without him. We love you, Uncle Dave!!!!
