David Loyd Margeson, born on November 11, 1943, in Sparta, Tennessee, passed away on January 29, 2026, in Walling, Tennessee. He was known to many in his community and will be remembered for his contributions and the relationships he built throughout his life.
David was the son of Lewis Margeson and Emma Lou Wheeler. He experienced the loss of several family members over the years, First wife, Charlene Sparks Margeson, wife, Gail Margeson. David was also preceded in death by his brothers: Lewis (Junior) Margeson Jr., Donald Margeson, Herbert Margeson, and Roy Margeson, as well as his sisters Alma Margeson, Tiny Usery, and Beatrice and John Marcum. Additionally, he was preceded in death by his nephew, James Lenard Margeson, and his son, John David Margeson.
David is survived by a family that includes Linda Stewart, his great-niece, and his great-great nephews, Aiden Boyd and Ryker Stewart. He also leaves behind several nephews: Charles Parrish, Les Parrish, and Robert Margeson. great nephews, Charles Parrish Jr., Aaron Parrish, Travis Parrish, and Jeremy Parrish. His niece, Angelita McCurry, Emma (Tony) Brock and family, nephew, Carl Armstrong, also survive him.

Visitation for David will take place on February 3, 2026, at Thurman Funeral Home in Sparta, Tennessee. The visitation is set to begin at 12:00 PM and will conclude at 1:00 PM. Following this, a funeral service will be held at the same location from 1:00 PM, with interment to follow at Oaklawn Cemetery. Officiating will be Ronnie Taylor.
David's life created ripples in his family and community, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
