David Wayne Marksberry, 67, Of Owensboro, passed from this life on October 6, 2024 at the Heartford House. An army veteran that loved his country and the Red, White & Blue. He enjoyed very much working on motorcycles, cars and pulling parts at West Side Auto Parts, as well as time spent as a plumber at Scott Baird Plumbing and Heating through the years. He had an immense love of animals and nature and a fondness for the mountains. He spent many years in Virginia before returning home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James William Marksberry and Bennetta Jane Dennison; sisters, Joyce Whorley, Judy Sumner, Shirley Smith, Charlotte Campbell, Joanna Johnson and Diane Greathouse.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Jean Marksberry a daughter, Tisha Kaye Beckem; granddaughters, Kaylyn Marksberry and Jade Marksberry; four great- grandchildren; siblings, Brenda Morris (Vince), Sandra Crabtree, Jim Marksberry (Terri) and Debbie Shepherd; numerous nieces and nephews (one very special to him, Lisa Greathouse); and many cousins.
There will be no service or visitation.
