David "Bird" Markus

I graduated with Dave and then ran into him again at Nucor. I remember my first night as a security guard. I was outside yelling at a guy to get off property. When police, state patrol come flying in to the area. I pointed where the guy ran. Oh bird came up on the gulf cart asked what was going on so I told him. Then he smiles real big and says I'm going to go watch and he did. He will truly be missed by many. Kathleen Wilkins

I just want to say I worked with Dave for about 37 years before I retired and he was one of those people that always made you smile, said something to give you a lift in your day. I am sure heaven is rejoicing and may God wrap his arms around this family here behind until you all meet again.. I will cherish memories I hold dear to my heart. Rest in peace my dear friend..
