David Marshall Obituary
On June 3rd David F Marshall of Wayland MA died following a series of health complications. His family said goodbye with a scattering of ashes off the shores of Wellfleet.
A beloved son of Gerald and Beverly Marshall of E Lansing MI David is survived by his wife Patricia (Areen) Marshall, daughters Jamie Marshall of Wayland and Kathryn Choate of Winchester MA, her husband Daniel, grandchildren Ford and Vivienne Choate, sisters Christine and Julie Marshall of E. Grand Rapids MI, and brother Jeffery Marshall and wife Jill of Franklinton LA.
After receiving his MBA at the University of Michigan David went on to a career in banking and commercial real estate in RI, MI, and TX. In 1987 he moved to Boston to create Krupp Mortgage Company. In 2000 he decided upon a dramatic turn of career. He bought three hardware stores and started The Neighborhood Hardware Group which today consists of seven stores from Falmouth to Topsfield. David and Tricia were members of First Parish Church Wayland.
David loved traveling, skiing, sailing, and playing board games with his grandkids. He was an inveterate reader of mysteries and histories, but most of all a loving and generous husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to all.
