David Wayne Marston, age 66, a resident of Wilsons, VA, passed away Monday, February 23, 2026.
A lifelong resident of Wilsons, he was the son of the late Henry H. Marston and Laura Sue Stables Marston. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Dr. Samuel Marston.
David was an avid outdoorsman with a lifelong love of hunting and fishing. He will be remembered by his family as a loving husband, father, and grandfather, affectionally known to his grandchildren as “Boppy.” He was known at work and in his personal life for his kindness and fun-loving nature.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Chris Marston; his daughter, Anna Terry (Dave); grandchildren, Louis, Madelynn, and Elinore; sister, Gwenn Clark (Bill); brothers, Donnie Marston (Phyllis), and Gill Marston; sister-in-law, Gayle Marston, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 2, 2026 at Smyrna Baptist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow the service at the Hawkins Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 7816 White Oak Road, Ford, VA 23850.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Smyrna Baptist Church 18971 Carson Road, Dinwiddie, VA 23841 or the Wildlife Foundation of Virginia, P.O. Box 62, Norge, VA 23127.
