BOWLING GREEN - David T. Maupin, 79, of Bowling Green, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 25, 2025, at his home.
David was born June 4, 1946, in Paducah. He attended Paducah Tilghman High School. He joined the Navy and was stationed in San Diego, California. on the USS Constellation.
He was employed at General Tire in Mayfield, and then later at the Corvette Assembly Plant where he retired.
After retirement, he earned his pilot's license. David loved to fly and he was an avid golfer. He also loved to hunt, fish, ride his motorcycle, and drive his Corvette. In his early years, he raced stock cars and enjoyed restoring cars and motorcycles.
David was a devoted husband to his first wife Pauletta Lynch Maupin for 48 years until her passing July 8, 2012.
In 2017, he had the honor to marry Patty Lynn Burchell, and they shared a life together for eight years until her passing on Dec. 7, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Yvette Webb, and grandson, Joshua Andrew Maupin.
David is survived by his loving family, which includes his son, David T. Maupin Jr., and wife Jennifer, of Bowling Green; his son-in-law Jeff Webb of Byhalia, Mississippi; grandsons Jeremy Ryan Langston and David Tyler Maupin; stepdaughters Jennifer McWhorter and Heather Poston (Jeremy); and step-grandchildren and children, Ellie Poston, Lily McWhorter, and Caden McWhorter.
Services will be held noon-4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, at Cone Funeral Home in Bowling Green.
A graveside service will be held at a later date.
