McClung (Senor), age 82, of rural Portland passed away at his residence on Sunday May 18, 2025. He was born in Portland on March 7, 1943 the son of Raymond and Nellie (Wiebusch) McClung. He was married in 1966 to Kathleen Stauffer who survives. David was a retired Spanish Teacher after 29years in the Jay County High School. He was a member of Jay County Historical Society, Jay County Humane Society, was a 1961 Portland High School graduate and earned his Bachelors and Masters degrees from Ball State University. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Browns fan. Surviving is his wife Kathleen, one daughter Shannon Sadler of Indianapolis, two brothers Kit McClung (wife Dana) of Portland and Kevin McClung (wife Diane) of Portland, two sisters Barbara Glentzer (husband Mike) of Fort Wayne and Peggy Peterson (husband Mike) of Portland, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers Steve and John McClung and two sisters Kathleen Bragg and Martha Gross Funeral services will be on Tuesday May 27th at 2:00 PM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin McClung presiding. Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 – 2:00 prior to services. Memorials can be made to Jay County Historical Society, Jay County Humane Society or Portland Rockets Baseball.
