David Paul McCool, age 73, passed away Wednesday evening, October 9, 2024, at his residence in Ackerman, MS, surrounded by his wife and family. David was born on April 8, 1951, to Nolen Wayne McCool and Katherine Elizabeth McManus McCool in Sturgis, MS. He retired in management but served many years prior as a delivery truck driver. David is survived by his loving wife, Linda McClelland McCool, Ackerman, MS; three daughters, Tracey (Eddie) Clark, French Camp, MS; Shelley (Tyler) Hill, Ackerman, MS; and Melissa (Todd) Buie, Brandon, MS; one son, Christopher McCool, Ackerman, MS; one brother, Robert (Ann) McCool, Adaton, MS; fifteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Nolen Wayne McCool and Katherine Elizabeth McManus McCool; two brothers, Joel McCool and Danny Christopher McCool; and one great grandchild, Kaydence McCool. Funeral Services for Mr. McCool will be at 1:00PM Monday, October 14, 2024, at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora, MS. Interment will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Oktibbeha County, MS. A time of visitation for friends of the McCool's will be at 12Noon until time for services at 1:00PM on Monday, October 14, 2024, at Oliver Funeral Home in Eupora. Rev. Greg Chamblee will officiate. Pallbearers will be Ethan Brown, Evan Buie, Todd Buie, Jake Hill, Christopher McCool, Mike McCool, Trenton McGee and Marty Steadman. Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora is honored to be entrusted with all arrangements for the McCool family.
