David Joe McFarland went to his heavenly home in the early morning hours of September 22, 2025.
David was born January 28, 1940 in Weleetka, OK. to Roy Richard McFarland and Laura Ross McFarland. David attended schools in Weleetka, and Guthrie, Oklahoma and also New London, TX.
He joined the US Navy and served aboard the destroyer, USS Collette and participated in Operation Hardtack bomb testing in the Marshall Islands.
David married Pat "Patty" Milsap McFarland and they had two children, Stacie McFarland Payne (Richard) and David Keith McFarland (Susie).
David owned a service station early in life, but spent most of his career in the beverage industry, retiring as Plant Manager.
David also had a lifelong interest in tractors and thoroughly enjoyed buying them, renovating and then selling them.
He was an avid golfer for many years and got pleasure in trout fishing on the White River in Arkansas.
David and Pat especially enjoyed their years of travelling across the country in RV's.
He is survived by his wife, two children, sister, Jean Roy, grandchildren, Jessica Crim (Casey), their children Georgia and Memphis, Cheyenne Croley (Chase) and their children Lawson Holmes and Denver Croley, two sister-in-laws, and several nieces and nephews.
David truly loved the Lord and his family. He was a Baptist and attended Red Springs Baptist Church.
