It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of David G. Meadows Jr., who left us far too soon on March 27th, 2026 at the age of 29.
David was a devoted fiancé, son, brother, and friend whose presence was truly one of a kind. He shared a deep and meaningful love with his fiancée, Logan, and was genuinely excited to marry her and begin their life together. Their relationship was filled with love, laughter, and plans for a future he deeply looked forward to.
David proudly served as a corrections officer in Lake County, Ohio, where he was known for his dedication, strength, and integrity. As a member of the SWAT team, he demonstrated courage and commitment, always stepping up when it mattered most. He took great pride in his work and in serving his community.
Outside of his career, David had a passion for playing Magic: The Gathering, a game he truly enjoyed and used as a way to connect with others. He also had a special, almost magnetic connection with dogs. Wherever he went, they seemed drawn to him. It was a reflection of his gentle and kind spirit.
David will be remembered for his unique personality - awkward in a way that made people smile, laugh, and feel at ease. It was part of what made him so genuine and so deeply loved. He didn’t try to be anyone but himself, and that authenticity left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Above all, David was loyal, loving, and deeply caring. He leaves behind his beloved fiancée, Logan; his family; and many friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Though his time here was far too short, David’s love, laughter, and spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
Survived by his fiancé, Logan Kyle; his mother, Jennifer Meadows; his step father, James Giles, his sisters, Sammantha Boss, Rebecka Marotta, Jennetta Marotta and his brother in law, Robert Boss. He also leaves many friends, co-workers and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father, David G. Meadows Sr.
