David Meyers Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Neidhard-Minges Funeral Home-Westwood on Jan. 8, 2026.
Meyers, David S. Dearly beloved husband for 3 years of Janet (Dorsey) Grawe. Former husband for 62 ½ years of the late Beverly (Zimmer) Meyers. Loving father of Jamie (Gary) Maraan, Amy Meyers and Maxim (Sember) Meyers and step father of Jennifer (Will) Baker, Tricia (Dan) Rohe, Alecia (Gary) Fangman. Cherished grandfather of Dett, Sam, Cecily and Griffin and step grandfather of Emily, Danny, Lyla and Ben. Dear brother of Toby (Burt) Friedman. Passed away suddenly on Monday, January 5 at the age of 87.

Born July 20, 1938 in Columbia, PA to Evelyn Sue (Paulvin) Meyers and Dr. Max Irving Meyers. The family moved to Harrisburg, PA. He is a graduate of Franklin & Marshall College. David met and married Beverly. He became employed by The Equitable Life Assurance Society and they moved to Lancaster, PA. He was promoted to Agency Manager in Cincinnati, OH where they resided in Terrace Park. Through the years the Cincinnati Agency managed by David became one of the most successful top offices in the company as it changed from Equitable to AXA Advisors and eventually Midwest Financial. Throughout his professional career, he was a leader in his company nationally in personal production. In addition, he was honored to be a recipient of the distinguished Agent of the Year Award. In his personal life, David was proud to have been instrumental in the beginning of what is now Jeff Ruby Culinary Entertainment. He was the original investor when Jeff wanted to open the Precinct Restaurant. David just recently enjoyed dinner there on New Year's Eve. In his own words, "I want to be at my favorite restaurant sitting at my favorite table". David also enjoyed his home in Northport, Michigan. He also cherished golfing with his friends. David had a true love of animals, especially horses, but most of all he loved his Westies. He always said if he had to do it over again, he would be a veterinarian. Per David's wishes, there will be no funeral services held.
