David Glenn Mohr, age 83, originally from the Ottawa County area, passed away in Huntley, Illinois, on Thursday, September 29, 2022. He was born on March 13, 1939, in Bauer, Michigan, to the late Cornie and Billy (Borgerding) Mohr.
David was married to Ina Claire Misner from 1958 to 1981. He then married Bonnie Stockhill on May 3, 1992, and she preceded him in death on September 4, 2003.
David graduated from Hudsonville High School and went on to proudly serve his country in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1958. He worked as an HVAC regional sales manager for Williams Distributing for many years until his retirement. David attended Christ Community Church from 1973 to 2003, and enjoyed attending local tractor pulls and collecting John Deere relics, which he had a large collection.
David is remembered and missed by his two daughters, Brooke (Curt) Nash of Austin, Texas, and Beth (Jeff) Mohr of Huntley, Illinois; four grandchildren: Brittany Speer, Olivia Nash, and Sarah and Thomas Mutter; two great-grandchildren, Carter and Shay Claire; two sisters, Jane (Jerry) Dyk and Lora (Jack) Moomey; his brother, Jack (Alice) Mohr; and many nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Service for David will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, October 21, 2022, at Klaassen Family Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Bytwerk officiating. Full Military Honors to be performed by the American Legion, Charles A. Conklin Post 28. Visitation will be held just prior to the service, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., at the funeral home. Interment will be at Crockery Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Engage & Heal Foundation or the Prostate Cancer Research Institute.
