David Manuel Montano

David Manuel Montaño, age 57, of Las Vegas, NM, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026, in Albuquerque, NM at Lovelace Hospital. He was born on September 28, 1968, in Las Vegas, NM to Antonio and Lucy Montaño and Bobby Montaño.

David served in the National Guard from 1986 to 1988.

David was preceded in death by his parents Antonio and Lucy Montaño; and brother-in-law Arthur Padilla.

David is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Montaño; his sons David Montaño and wife Marsha, and Dennis Montaño and wife Kayla; his daughter Dominique Montaño and her significant other Devin; grandchildren David, Josiah, Damian, Jordan, Jaylah, Janelle, Madison, and Brielle; his father Bobby Montaño and wife Maria; sisters Virginia Padilla and Mariah Montaño; brother Seth Montaño; loving niece Dahlia Martinez; father and mother-in-law Steve and Della Lopez; brothers-in-law Ramon Lopez and Stevie Lopez; Aunt Lorraine Tripp; cousins he called brother and sister Marcos Romero and Evangeline Williams; and many other loving family members and friends.

Rosary devotional service will be recited on Monday, January 26, 2026 at 7 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church with Father Dennis Garcia as celebrant. Interment will take place at a later date with close family and friends.
