David "Dave" Lee Moschke, 57, passed away unexpectedly January 7, 2025. He was born in Sturgis, Michigan, June 5, 1967, the son of Duane Sr. and Flo (Slagle) Moschke.
Dave was a passionate sports fan, always cheering for his beloved hometown teams in Detroit-whether it was the Lions, Tigers, or Pistons. He had the chance to attend a game for each of them, and the experience brought him so much joy. Music was another big part of Dave's life. He could easily name the members of his favorite bands and often shared his love for them with others. He even created a report with a few of his musical inspirations, and at one point, worked on the road as a bouncer for a band. For his birthday one year, he was pulled up on stage by a band he considered friends, and they and the crowd sang him Happy Birthday.
What truly set Dave apart was his incredible sense of humor. He had a gift for making everyone around him laugh, always striving to keep smiles on the faces of those he loved. He infused his humor and warmth into everything he did, including his work at Walmart. As a member of the electronics department, Dave was known for his computer expertise. When it came to tech questions, his family always turned to him, knowing he'd have the answer.
Dave is survived by his father, Duane, Sr; aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Flo; brother, Duane "Will" Moschke Jr.; cousin, Jerry Keeler; and uncle, Gordon Moschke.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday January 15, 2025, at Harris Funeral Home, 267 North Michigan Avenue, Shelby MI 49455. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Harris Funeral Home, in Shelby, is in charge of arrangements.

I am a Facebook friend of Dave´s and though I didnt´ know him " personally", that didn´t matter. We " met",years ago, as many of our mutual friends did, through a music/ hunting Talkback forum. He was very endearing and we had lots of fun " conversations" about music. A few years ago,he reached out to me for some ideas for things to do in NYC as he was going on an adventure with his Dad. Recently, I kept up with him after his surgery and rehab and enjoyed reading his posts about his " adventures". I am very sad and sorry to learn of his passing. My deepest condolences to Dave´s Dad and family. Some people just touch our lives in unexpected ways. Dave was one of those people. May he Rest In Peace

I am so very sorry for your loss. I would often run into Dave at concerts in the 80's and 90's. We lost touch for a while but when we ran into each other at a Great White show in Grand Rapids, we were able to keep in touch on Facebook. It was great being able to use Facebook to know when we were going to be at the same show and meet up. He is greatly missed.

Very sorry to hear of Dave's passing. He was a huge fan of the Firehouse band & our family. I met Dave in Hollywood at a show he & his father traveled to. I will miss his funny daily postings. He was a very kind soul.
