David Nalevanko Obituary

David A. Nalevanko, 75, of Greensburg, died Friday, Dec. 19, 2025, at home with his family by his side. He was born Nov. 25, 1950, in Latrobe, a son of the late Andrew and Madyln Lucas Nalevanko. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Andrea J. Ackerman, and her husband, Brad. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Deborah Nalevanko; two children, Joshua Nalevanko (Denae Frampton) of Rosemount, MN, and Michael Nalevanko (Alexis) of Charlotte, NC; two grandsons, Logan and Riley Nalevanko; siblings, Marty Nalevanko (Shawna), Monica Bensko (Greg), and Becky Cunningham (Charlie); and numerous nieces and nephews. Dave began his working life on the family dairy farm alongside his grandfather and father and later served with the National Guard during the Vietnam era. Following his service, he built a long and storied career in the cable communications industry and retired as a Comcast Cable Supervisor, leaving a legacy of mentorship and dedication. He enjoyed many hands-on pursuits, including hunting, fishing, baking, cooking, canning, gardening, and woodworking. He found particular joy in spending time on the farm and loved traveling whenever the opportunity arose. Dave was known for his strong work ethic, generous spirit, and all-encompassing love of family. He took pride in making homemade noodles and Christmas calamari, delighted in playing with and good-naturedly teasing the children in the family, and was always willing to teach others the many skills he learned over a lifetime. His patience, humor, and willingness to share his knowledge left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Per Dave's request, there will be no viewing or services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY 10016. Dave's family has entrusted his care to CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, (724) 837-0020. For online condolences/directions, visit us at pantalone.com. Natale N. Pantalone, supervisor.
