David Lynn Nations, Sr., age 84, of Crossville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Cumberland Medical Center.

Mr. Nations was born on June 15, 1941, in Knoxville, Tennessee, son of the late Homer Marion Nations and Marianna (Ray) Nations.

David was a firefighter, Gospel singer, a postman, and an avid UT fan. He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. But his greatest pleasure was spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Nations; children, Barbara Bailey (Joey), Helen Karras (Billy), David Nations Jr. (Mandy), and Whitney Collins (Rob); stepsons, Jason Tomberlin (Ginger) and Brent Tomberlin (April); 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; brother, Jim Nations; and sister, Ann Schmittou.

In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his previous wife, Linda Tomberlin Nations; and brothers, Ray Nations and Bobby "Bud" Nations.

Funeral Service will be held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 5:00 PM. Pastor Scott Monday will be officiating the service. Family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 PM prior to the service. Graveside committal service will take place at Big Toqua Cemetery in Vonore, TN, on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at 2:00 PM CST.

Pallbearers include: Calvin Greene, Will Wright, Dalton Bailey, Tyler Greene, Austin Barnes, Reyce Nations, Ty Collins, and Colton Greene.

The family request donations be made to Memorial Baptist Church at 1858 Sparta Hwy, Crossville, TN 38572, Upward Sports Ministry in David’s honor.
