David L. Nees

David L. Nees, 74, of Cloverdale, passed away on September 11, 2024 at his residence. David was born in Greencastle on March 23, 1950 to the late D. Robert and Velda Nees. David worked many years in the automotive industry specializing in paints and coatings. David enjoyed attending auctions and yard sales with his family and could always spend part of his days cutting firewood or tinkering in the barn on an Allis Chalmers tractor.
David was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother Ronald; his sister, Joyce Shadwick; and son-in-law, Steve Williamson.
David is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marcia; daughter Julie Williamson; son Jamison Nees (Melissa); brother John Nees (Sandy); borther-in-law Richard Kennedy (Sandy); grandchildren, Ethan Williamson (Katie), Evan Williamson (Caitlynn), Elliott Williamson (Karlee), Kedric Nees (Baylee), and Zoey Nees; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm, Monday, September 16, 2024 at Greencastle Christian Church, where friends and family can visit from 11am to 1pm. Burial will follow at Cloverdale Cemetery. Condolences may be made at www.whithakerfuneralhome.net
