David L. Nicholson

I was 12 years old when the Sox made that trade that brought Dave to Chicago. I loved him and when he hit that home run it was a huge cause for celebration! Sadly today, I was reading something about the long balls hit this year and while his was longer than some of the players mentioned, his name was not mentioned along with Mantle and some others of that era and that is a travesty! I loved Dave Nicholson and will always remember him as as a powerful long ball hitter and a great addition to the Go Go Sox of the 60´s! May God rest his soul and may God bless his family and loved ones

I am so sorry to see this. My father Claud Turner was Dave´s first cousin. I would be his second cousin. Dave´s mom always called my dad her favorite nephew. When I lived at home I always loved aunt Lucille´s visits. I have baseball cards of Dave and have always regretted not trying to get him to autograph him. please accept my condolences.
