Dave O'Connor. I served with him in H/2/3 in Vietnam and before. He had 1st Platoon. In Weapons platoon I was attached to 3rd Platoon. He was a highly respected Officer and a sharp Commander. We both served on the Drill Field in 1965. Years later I enjoyed visiting with him at Marine Corps Company reunion and did my best to pester him maybe during his illness. He sent me a gift relating to guns. I use it and keep in my desk. So a day doesn't go by I don't remember him. Dave O'Connor, a fine Marine. Worth his salt.

I served with Dave in Vietnam. He was an outstanding Marine combat officer and a good friend. Rest in peace, Dave, and peace and comfort to your family.
