David Ogle, 75, passed away on Dec. 24, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Dave was born on June 1, 1950, to Theodore and Donnabelle Ogle and lived his entire life in Goshen, a community he deeply loved and proudly served. He was a graduate of Goshen High School, where he met his high school sweetheart, Susan (Elder) Ogle. They were married in 1971 and shared a lifetime of love, partnership and family.
Dave is survived by his beloved wife, Susan; his children Erin (Jamie) Haskett, Kyle (Sara) Ogle, Mason (Erica) Ogle, and Nick (Megan) Ogle; his grandchildren JD and Will Haskett, Kaleb Nine and Abigail Ogle, Eme and Ellie Ogle, and Jack Ogle; as well as his four siblings. Being a husband, father, and grandfather was the greatest joy of his life, and he especially loved cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events and activities.
Dave was passionate about making Elkhart County an exceptional place to live and work. His career began in sales at The Goshen News before moving to The Elkhart Truth, where he eventually served as publisher. He concluded his professional career at the Economic Development Corporation of Elkhart County, continuing his lifelong dedication to community growth.
Dave and Sue cherished traveling together to Marco Island and boating on Lake Wawasee. He also loved building and creating - tinkering with train sets, painting, and renovating his home. His hands were rarely idle.
Known for his storytelling and friendly spirit, Dave truly knew no stranger. He and Sue spent many years riding their tandem bicycle all over Goshen. More recently, he could often be found walking or biking throughout Elkhart County or the University of Notre Dame campus.

When I seen David´s picture I knew I had met him before and remembered talking to him many times, I just couldn´t recall from where. Then today it hit me, read ing the obituary again. I retired from what used to be The Laurels of Goshen as Activity Director. He was the most devoted husband, visiting Sue, taking her on walks and drives when the weather permitted. He would bring special treats for the staff. And yes he had lots of stories, some from his and Sue´s travels. He was just the sweetest man. I am so sorry for your loss. Prayers for the family. He spoke of his children and grandchildren in his stories. He was very proud!
