Passed away, Monday, January 1, 2024, at home, with his wife by his side. David was born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan on March 10, 1948, to the late Leon and Barbara (Parker) Pallett. After graduating from high school, David joined the Navy and served his country proudly. After being honorably discharged, David went on to work for UPS, where he worked for over 31 years. On August 5, 1989, David married his best friend, Candace (Morrison), who he enjoyed many loving years with. David enjoyed many interests over the years. Proud owner of a 1977 Corvette, Motorcycles and a love for farming, so he became a member of the Fun Time Tractor Pull Club. David loved to tell stories and make people laugh so everyone enjoyed his company. After he retired from UPS, He worked as a security guard part-time for several years. He also worked for a farmer part-time in the Mendon area.
Surviving David is his wife, Candace; children, Anthony Pallett, Michael Pallett; stepchildren, Todd Kenbeek, Shelley Kenbeek, Leanna Gerard; brother, Ed (Connie) Pallett; sister, Jacquie (Larry) Cade; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Preceding him in passing are his parents, and brother, Tom Pallett.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation will take place. A Memorial Gathering will be held in David’s Honor on Saturday, January 13, 2024, from 1pm to 2pm, with a Memorial Service to follow at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial and Cremation Services, 3926 South 9th Street, Kalamazoo, Michigan 49009. Immediately after the Service, friends are welcome to join the family for a luncheon at the same location. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Loaves and Fishes, or The Salvation Army.
