I was so saddened to hear about David's passing. He was a beautiful soul and spirit, and one of the finest people I've ever known. I've known David since 1968 since we both grew up in Hamden CT. I actually known his brother Nick since 1967, and then Nick introduced me to David.

David and I first started jamming at my house then, and we quickly expanded our musical connections to sharing classical and jazz as well. That has continued to this day. A few years ago, along with Lois, we went to see the Bach B minor Mass performed in Jordan Hall, and it was a very memorable event. I also cherished all the times I played David's beautiful Steinway piano at the house on Royal Ave, as well as all the great Thanksgivings celebrated there, and New Year's Eves as well. They were always fun stimulating, and heartfelt.

David was a very caring person and friend. A few years I was having a difficult time, and he (and Lois) reached out to help me, and showed their concern and compassion. You can't ask for more than that.

So David, may you rest in peace, love, and power. See you on the other side. ~~Marc Rossi
