David Wayne Peterson, 63 years of age passed away in Fayetteville, North Carolina on Friday June 6, 2025. Born May 6, 1962 Charleston WV to Paul Peterson and the late Lona Peterson (nee Worley). David was the loving husband of Autumn L. Peterson (nee Thomas), loving father of Thomas Daniel (Missy) Peterson; stepfather to Thomas Allen (Kelsy) Wheeler; and devoted grandfather to Sydney, Theodore and Rosemary Wheeler. He was the dear step-brother of Rita (nee Peterson) (Russ) Roosa, and Marty James (Stacey) Peterson; and loving brother to Robin Leane Thomas and adopted sister Sherry Lynn McGlothlin-Woods.
David served as a Corporal in the US Marines during Desert Storm and Dessert Shield. He was also a volunteer firefighter and paramedic in Bear Creek, NC and a Cub Scout Den Leader, also in NC. David was a truck driver until his passing.
