David Piercefield Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Homes and Crematory - Washington St. on Feb. 26, 2026.
David Scott Piercefield, 54, passed from this life unexpectedly at his home in Surprise, Arizona, February 18, 2026. Born October 15, 1971, in Columbus, Indiana, to David L. and Faye Blauvelt Piercefield, David's warmth and vivacity left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him.

David's early life in Columbus was filled with the simple joys of Midwestern living. He cherished the times spent fishing and mushroom hunting with his parents, a tradition that instilled in him a lifelong appreciation for nature's bounty. His love for animals was evident from a young age, a passion that continued throughout his life, most notably in his adoration for his Chihuahua dogs.

After graduating with an associate degree from Indiana Business College, David embarked on a career that would see him become a well-respected figure in the jewelry industry. His tenure at Jared Jewelers in Glendale, Arizona was characterized by his genuine care for customers and colleagues alike, earning him the reputation of a trusted and dedicated sales professional.

David's personal interests were as varied as they were engaging. He enjoyed bowling, a hobby that not only showed his competitive spirit but also served as a social cornerstone, bringing him together with friends and family for nights filled with laughter and camaraderie.

David is survived by his loving parents, David and Faye Piercefield of Columbus; sister, Kelly Nodzak of Smyrna, Georgia; niece, Samantha (Jace) Ragon of O'Fallon, Illinois; nephew, Nicholas Nodzak of Brookings, Oregon; great-nephew, Remington Ragon; uncles and aunts, Allen and Tracie Piercefield of Mt. Auburn, Indiana and Rick and Susan Piercefield of Edinburgh; and many cousins and extended family.

David was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Leslie and Lucille Blauvelt and his paternal grandparents, Marshall and Ellen Piercefield.

The graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2026, at the Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery; Pastor Steve O'Connell will officiate.
