I think one of the most special moments for me was when I got married at 18 yrs old. I remember seeing David, my brother and only sibling, in the back room right before the wedding and he was sobbing. I was so surprised . I'd not seen him cry in years. It was sweet. The night after we got married, we stayed at my parents house in their guest room on Kilbourne Road. After we settled down for bed, we heard a strange clinking noice coming from the heating/AC vent. When we looked in side the grates, we could see a handheld recorder dangling from a long cord. David's bedroom was directly above the guest room and I guess his curious 16 year old mind got the best of him. We died laughing and enjoyed telling the story for years. David was very quiet but always a joker.

David planted a lot of seeds along the path of his earthly journey.
I´m sure we will see the fruits of his relationship with his Lord in everyone he touched along the way.

David and I grew up together. We knew each other from elementary school all the way through high school. We lived right around the corner from one another. We graduated from high school together in 1974 from Dreher high school. David went on to play football at Clemson and I played soccer at The Citadel. Most importantly, David was a testimony to me through his Christian faith while in high school. I came to Christ while cadet at the Citadel. Our paths crossed very little during his lifetime. But my memories of David will live on and both in his kind friendship and Christian testimony. I am grateful for his influence in my life. I look forward to seeing him in glory one day. God bless you, Leah and may the Lord comfort you with his strength and grace. Steve Pettit

David was one of the kindest people I have ever known. I met him at Midlands Tec. taking a CFP class and he was willing to help anyone who was struggling with the material. He always had a smile and a friendly demeanor. My heart goes out to his wife and family. May you find peace in your memories of an amazing man of God.
